Hey y’all, BMyCurlfriend has changed…again! The “We Got Food at the House” series started as a weekly cooking reel on instagram but has become something that I love wayyy more than I thought. The recipes can be found in the lifestyle blog section of the website. Cooking is near and dear to my heart, as I have been cooking since about the age of 6. EVERYTHING that I ever learned about cooking can be attributed to my late great-grandmother and my maternal grandmother. My mother also plays a huge role in my ability to cook. I spent much time being a “sous chef” in her kitchen. Basically, she made me chop any and every onion and brown meat lol. You know—important stuff lol. I am from South Louisiana so you can expect a whole lot of soul food with plenty of rouxs, gravies, stews, gumbo and seafood. Every now and then I try my hand at other things but Louisiana cuisine is my favorite thing to cook. Cooking is honestly something that I never intended to blog about but the love I have been shown from my posts has brought us here. I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I enjoy cooking them and sharing them with you.
P.S. I will still be sharing my Get Ready With Me videos and occasional motherhood posts. Thanks for coming on this ever evolving journey with me.
